I am very pleased to advise that the much anticipated new version of Infection Prevention & Control will be live from Wednesday 3rd December. The Skills for Health e-learning team has worked closely with the Department of Health to make considerable structural changes, along with a clearer alignment to the Core Skills Training Framework. Description pages will highlight these changes.
Learners that have already started the existing courses will have until Wednesday 7th January to complete them.
We are pleased to advise that the new updates to this course will be made on Monday 3rd November. This is in line with legislation changes as well as learner feedback, and is in our new templates, so flash free! If you have already started the existing course, you will still be able to access it until 3rd December.
We are excited to advise that we will be going live with changes to the Equality, Diversity & Human Rights course next week. Changes are inline with legislation changes and feedback, and in our new templates. Watch this space for more details!
Please be advised that we are excited to announce that we are currently going live with new versions of Fire Safety, Health, Safety & Welfare, Moving & Handling; Patient Moving & Handling (previously part of the Moving and Handling course), and Immunisation and Vaccination.
If you have already started the existing course, you will still be able to access it until 5th September.
We are in the process of updating the templates for some of our courses, and have taken the opportunity to make some valuable changes to them as we do so.
Changes coming soon include Conflict Resolution, Moving & Handling; Patient Moving & Handling; Fire Safety; and Health, Safety & Welfare.
We have now completed the second stage of our alignment with
the National Core Skills Training Framework. This has involved amending our courses with the course names and suggested refresh periods.
Your certification will reflect this change. Full details of these can be discussed with your training and development department or with us on the helpdesk.
We now have a brand new look to the platform! This is the new design for our existing portfolio, providing you with access to the same range of high quality e-learning programmes as before. If you previously registered on the Skills for Health e-learning platform your existing log-in details will continue to work on this site.
Skills for Health have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we will be meeting the required standards of the Core Skills Framework that is now near completion. This means we will be bringing brand new e-learning courses on board including Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Resuscitation, Information Governance and Conflict Resolution. As we already push ourselves to meet high standards, the key requirements in our existing courses are almost all already met, and we have existing high quality endorsements for these.
